Säljare är det amerikanska börsbolaget Vulcan Materials Company. Affären omfattar åtta fabriker i drift och ytterligare tretton vilande.

Thomas Betongs helt nya fabrik i Heby väster om Uppsala, som invigs den 28 september, kommer i tvåskift att producera prefabricerade skalväggar och plattbärlag i sådan volym att det motsvarar cirka 4 000 nyproducerade lägenheter per år. ”Genom den nya fabriken i Heby möter vi marknadens behov och bidrar till att lösa bostadsbristen”, säger Carina Edblad, vd i Thomas Betong.
